according to the records search company that I used there were businesses at #31 and #33 and the next number for which anyone pays utilities, phone, whatever, was #56 on that street.
whatever. do what you like, just trying to help.

This really makes me wonder, after seeing a local girl on the news who was arrested for identity theft of her boss.... But I wonder if this girl steals many people's identities, and that's why those names all came up? *shrugs* When I put those names into intelius.com , most of them are elderly people. Maybe she is stealing elderly people's identities because she knows they "tend" to be easier to commit crimes against? I don't know, but it makes me wonder is all. I can't really find much online, as I haven't emailed anyone for her full name(s) and address. This is just one of those cases where I really would like to see this person get caught by the authorities!

Hmm...ok, after rereading this post and finding the Bouvier Ave addy, I searched and got this page:
I am not sure if this is allowed, so please forgive me if it isn't. But notice there is a 52 Bouvier Ave #2, with a 25 and 28 yr old living there as of 3/2005. Hmm........ wish I had money to pay for the search details! *pulls out lint* |

Sorry, but apparently it won't let me link to a current search. *sighs*

I really hope someone contacts the authorities. I have a feeling that they're not just scamming ponies.

Wow, you found a much better search than I did!
Good detective work, and I think Lilith is right! I would be willing to bet they are scamming more than MLPs and I swear I was exchanging email with a guy, not a girl. If they had managed the scam on me I would lead the charge, but I have no right to call the police when I refused to go for the attempted deal. Any takers? Cummon, step up to the plate and set a prescidence for future scammers and make this a safer trading community!! *steping off soapbox now* --SC |

I'll see if my husband is willing to do a little drive. I live like 10-15 mins from that address. At least make sure what is there. It sounds like an apartment complex.

Cardinal Melody, that would be great! If you don't want to really do anything, I think it would be great if you could check the place!
I would love to get myself involved in catching this thief, but since I'm in Finland.. Well, I guess there's not much I can do. :/ |

I cannot really help that much myself, as nothing went any further than me waiting forever on payment from her, and then finally telling her to never bug me again with her time-wasting.
I also wondered it it was an apartment complex, but I don't think it is. That site only showed 52 Bouvier Ave, and 52 Bouvier Ave #2. The whole thing about ALL those different names living there all around the same time though? I don't know! I would love to see what you can find out if you take a sluggish drive-by. Man, if I lived nearby, I would park on the street for awhile or something, and just be real curious about who came in and out. Whether it be a girl in her late 20's, or if there were elderly people there as well. I just got the impression it was a two story house like the one I live in, where there is one apartment downstairs, and one upstairs - that sorta thing. This is just way too fishy. |

Its a two floor building. I'm assuming there is a diferent apartment on each one. Its a nice building too. Anyway, number 52 does exist.

So, any of you near there have a daughter who could try and sell some girl scout cookies there?? See who actually answers the door?
Maybe just skip it and call the cops? I mean, most of the time if you call and ask about it and explain to someone at the local station they will be happy to tell you whether you have a next step of recourse or if they want to look into it. Otherwise anyone know a lawyer who would write you an official looking letter on their office stationary to scare the $$ out of the person? I mean, if it was me who was out a chunk of money, I know several (I live near DC....) who would do it just to be nice. There must be someone here or at the arena who could manage it. --SilverCygnet |

It's kind of unnerving to think that she might have traded/sold stolen items to people.. I hope this all gets sorted out, it's just too weird.

I'm not sure if that will help, but I contacted that Internet Fraud Center. I think they only do bigger frauds than this, some theft of My Little Ponies... But I guess it's worth a shot!

I would file, but it won't let me because it doesn't take international complaints. Only those within the US States.

Yes they do take international complaints. o_o There's even a section where you can choose your country at. I filed in a complaint and I'm situated in Finland. I even got an automatic response to let me know they have recieved my complaint.
Anyway, I don't think it's of much use anyway. They get thousands of complaints a month and I hardly think they would put much effort into solving this kind of thing. Oh well. |
