I've not been around for a while
 , so whatever happened to the board moving?  Where is everyone?  Doesn't seem as busy as it use to....also did we loose the ability to edit our own posts? 'Cause I can't.

Super-short version: ^_^
We lost gold status, board became full of popup ads and spyware and that chased a lot of people away. There's also been some kerfluffle about the move. SS and NK are working on it, so we're sort of moderating ourselves until the new board is ready. It's more than likely going to not be on exboard though. We'll all be bushwoolies again, wheeee! the owner of the boardis being a @#%$ and wouldnt help SS or NK moderate. They got sick of it and left.
i doubt this place will ever move and will eventually die...   |

well, it's hard to take the top notice seriously though as it's been the same for a LONG time. Maybe if it's changed to a newer message it would raise people's hopes a little? Just a thought.

Yeah, pretty much is. I think all that's been done to it in the past few months is that the part about how they tried and failed to move the board was taken out...but the whole "try next weekend" and "monty python foot" thing is the same so it just looks very similar and is easy to skip over. I think that made sense...lol.
I should't try to type explanations right after getting out of bed...hehe. |

Well, as far as the long part --- yeah it has been a long time...at least a year.
 As far as moving from this board- some people tried to set up other boards (off EZ board & without the hassles) but people didn't want to move...they wanted to stay on the ship (guess it's like the Titanic now...) and not give something new a chance. I have heard through the grapevine that it's only SS now and that NK isn't modding anymore?  In any event I can understand how it's so hard to move because the only way to successfully "move" this board would be if EVERYONE (who regularly posts) would agree to move and stay at the new board. Unfortunately I do see the TP dieing out....it's WAY less crowed than it use to be and that makes me sad.  I loved this board, I know I was away for a long while--life can do that-- but I still care about it. I am hurt at the thought the owner (Jenn) doesn't care enough to "give" the board to someone who has the time to put into it.  The question remains that since the TP is dying out what are people going to do--split up and move on to different boards or what? I don't understand why we feel the need to keep this place so badly--I mean other than the obvious reasons why can't we all get together and decide to move and move to another board ---that shouldn't take long. I mean we will all be the same even if the board isn't the TP and it's not run by the same people.....the members are the ones who make a community a community. Anyhoo that's my thoughts, I just hate to see everyone seperate because of all this........

Starlover, ok let me explain a few things, the info you have heard is a bit wrong end of stick.
NK left for a break months ago, SS was on her own modding. She kept at it, and all the flame wars and (awful) trolling we have had. Recently, she gave up too, after some nasty emails froma certain member here (email me for more details if interested: glorfindel.goldenflower@gmai.com) and obviously the stress of doing it alone and getting little back was bad. Jenn wont reply to phone calls, and has even blocked SS from IMing her! She has made her point she wants nothign to do with this. SS put up a poll asking if we should move, everyone abeit a very very small few (2 or 3) agreed they wanted to move, and away from EXboard. SS was unsure because its still jenns with jenns mlptp.com name and everything. We dont know exactly whats going on now, we are modding ourselves unless soemthign awful happens and we can attempt emailing SS. SS and NK rather crypitcally (which I think is cool!) said they are thinking and maybe working on something. Just recently the thing at the top changed to 'watch this space!' so my hopes are high!! |

Starlover. A lot has gone on, a few bits of info you have got there is wrong.
Heres a quick run down of what happened. NK had enough a few months back, she wanted a break and left quietly for now. SS was left on her own to mod the huge board, she stuck at it, which many people wouldnt have considering the (awful) trolls and flames that have been happening. Recently she left too, due to a certain member emailing her and complaing and being very nasty. (glorfindel.goldenflower@gmail.com for more info on that, I dont want to bring it up here again) SS can now only be contacted by email if somethign really awful happens. SS did a poll a bit before she left asking if we should move and if we should change the name, all people apart from 2 or 3 agreed to a move and thought we should keep the name as close as possible as we might have problems with jenn if not. Jenn by the way is AWOL. She wont answer her phone and has BLOCKED SS and NK from her messenger! Everyone/most are fed up with her and dont care too much anymore. NK and SS both (crypitically...which i think is cool!) said something about talking and working on something together and recently the sign was changed to watch this space! So my hopes are high. Unfortunately some people havent noticed or dont believe it and as SS said, have little faith. Which is a shame! I hope this explained for you! |
